SimTown is a 1995 personal computer game published by Maxis, much like the best selling SimCity and Sims but on a smaller scale. SimTown allows the player to construct a town consisting of streets, houses, businesses and parks and then control the people in it.
To start the Simtown Express discovery quest you need build the Simtown Express (located on the bottom left of town). Complete this quest to unlock the new Downtown area and hospital.

Simtown Express Walkthrough
1. Call the Train Company (48 seconds***)
2. Meet Thomas, the Tiny Conductor (15 minutes).
3. Ask About Safety Lessons (Thomas, 2 hours and 15 minutes).
4. Read a Book About Trains (8 hours and 30 minutes***).
5. Find a Snack for Thomas (refrigerator, 1 hour and 50 minutes).
6. Ask for Safety Lesson 1 (5 minutes).
7. Demonstrate Single Seating (couch, 10 hours***).
8. Ask for Safety Lesson 2 (5 minutes).
9. Send a Sim to the Park.
10. Watch the Train Demonstration (14 hours and 45 minutes). Click on the train set in the park.
11. Ask for Safety Lesson 3 (5 minutes).
12. Stand Behind the Yellow Line (16 hours and 45 minutes). At the front of your home lot.
13. Search for the Train Key (bed, 1 hour and 50 minutes***).
14. Apologize to Thomas (6 hours and 15 minutes).
15. Bake Cookies for Thomas (stove, 1 minute).
16. Ask for Final Lesson (5 minutes).
17. Practice Holding On (Thomas, 1 day).
18. Guess Thomas’s Age (1 hour and 15 minutes). Thomas is 5 years old.
19. Travel on the SimTown Express. Go to the SimTown map, and touch the icon for the SimTown Express to travel to the new Downtown area!
