Rendering the vast numbers of soldiers involved in these battles has been a hallmark of the Conquest franchise and its Cossacks-branded predecessors. It makes it even more frustrating when your units can't even find their own way through a gap in a fence. The interface in American Conquest isn't really sufficient to manage such numbers and you'll spend as much time fighting against the game's control scheme as you will fighting against the opposing army. The usual conventions are in place here - drag selecting, double-clicking to get units of the same type - but when you're trying to control an entire army made up of several different unit types, it's impossible to manage things efficiently. American conquest divided nation patch. In short, if you want big battles, American Conquest delivers. After a few minutes of playing you'll start to understand some of the unique problems posed by this approach and why most other games shy away from rendering hundreds and thousands of individual soldiers.
The F12 key is needed to access the in-game menu and stuff so make sure to set this option (F1-F12) in the system preferences on your Mac. Otherwise when you press F12 you will increase sound. Also when setting the resolution for the game, do not set the same resolution as your Mac, otherwise the F12 will show you the Mac Dashboard instead of the game menu. So set the resolution one fragment lower, for example for iMacs “1600×900” which is high enough. That will keep the F12 function still intact.
